Q: Will this fit the standard Baofeng UV-5R?
A: No. This mount is built for the UV-5R Mini and UV-5G Mini only. The bodies are different sizes.
Q: Can I use my existing HMA-UV5R mic holder?
A: No. The HMA-UV5R will not fit. This mount requires the HMA-UV5RM, available as a bundle above.
Q: Can I use the Velcro strap and mic holder at the same time?
A: No — they share the same side slots. Choose one. Both work with bolt-down or ball mount installations.
Q: Does the UV-5G Mini (GMRS) fit?
A: Yes — same body dimensions as the UV-5R Mini. Spec-confirmed fit.
Q: What ball mount systems are compatible?
A: Any standard 20mm or 1” ball mount system — RAM Mounts, Bulletpoint, and most standard ball adapter systems.
Q: What hardware do I need for bolt-down?
A: The center hole accepts standard M5 hardware. The anti-spin slot prevents rotation. Hardware not included.
